Kaley Patterson - Executive Director
Kaley Patterson joined the Integral Senior Living team in January of 2018. She is serving as the executive director of Amara Place, in Columbia, S.C. Kaley has over 10 years of customer care experience in various professional fields and over five years of direct experience in working with seniors and their families in South Carolina.
She has a successful record in ensuring excellent resident care in a well-maintained, caring and enjoyable environment. She strives to ensure that open and trusting relationships are established and maintained between residents, their families and her team. Kaley has developed and maintained working relationships with different facets of advocacy for seniors, including the long-term care ombudsman and the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control.
Kaley and her partner, Buck, live in Sumter with their two children, Gavin and Clara Jo. Kaley and her family love animals and traveling! They have a goal to try to visit every state’s major zoo or aquarium, and so far, have been able to make it to 26 of them!
Andrea Ronk - Director of Sales & Marketing
Andrea Ronk joined Integral Senior Living in November 2017 and has nine years of marketing experience. She has been a marketing coordinator for eight years throughout various industries including architecture, engineering and the food service industry. She has worked in all facets of marketing, from graphic design to procurement, to proposal generation. Marketing is her true passion, and she loves what she does.
Andrea and her husband, Ben, relocated to South Carolina from Virginia in 2014, and South Carolina quickly became their home. For fun and relaxation, Andrea enjoys cooking, dancing, traveling, anything that is near the ocean and taking care of their two rescue dogs; Lily & Marley.
Robbie Sanborn - Resident Care Director
Robbie Sanborn joined the Integral Senior Living team in April 2018 as resident care director of Amara Place in Columbia, S.C.
She has been an LPN since 1991. She brings her knowledge not only with assisted living experience, but also long-term care planning and wound care. She enjoys spending time with family and going to the beach.
Candy Kennedy - Executive Chef
Executive Chef Candy Kennedy brings over two decades of culinary experience to Amara Place. After receiving her culinary arts certification in 2001, she landed her first sous chef position at New York’s Park Avenue Bistro. Candy then shifted her focus to helping the elderly. She spent roughly nine years preparing dishes for residents of South Lake Villages Retirement Home.
At Amara Place, Kennedy will be tasked with creating dishes to fit the community’s “Elevate” program, a program committed to providing high-quality, freshly prepared meals that accommodate individual resident needs and preferences.
Ashleigh Brown - Vibrant Life Director
Before Amara Place, Ashleigh Brown was the activities director for a nonprofit assisted living home for two years. Now Ashleigh is our Vibrant Life director, and she plans to provide daily activities that not only stay true to our community’s founding principles, but also elevate and enrich the lives of our residents.
Away from work, Ashleigh enjoys spending time with her two children, her husband and her parents, spoiling her dog and five cats, and turning something ordinary into something fun!
Sanford Rivers - Maintenance Director
Sanford Rivers has experience from multiple years spent in managerial and superintendent positions in the maintenance industry. He is experienced in building and grounds maintenance, HVAC maintenance, and electrical installments. For relaxation on the weekends, Sanford likes to golf, fish and spend time with his family.
At Amara Place, Sanford is responsible for keeping our community looking vibrant and running smoothly.
Melisa Bond - Director of Sales and Marketing
Melisa Bond is our director of Sales and Marketing here at Amara Place. She comes to our team with experience in a variety of fields, including the senior living industry, sales and marketing, and the insurance industry. In her previous position at Discovery Senior Living, she worked as a senior lifestyle counselor and sales and marketing director.
Melisa has over 15 years of experience in sales and marketing. She began her career in the insurance industry and branched out from there, specializing in helping our military and first responders. She still participates in community outreach to benefit our military, local police officers and first responders.
Melisa began working with seniors several years ago, and it has always been a passion of hers. As a senior lifestyle counselor, she advised seniors and their families on choosing the best senior living community.
Melisa, with her daughter, Angel, and their rescue dog, T-rex, recently moved back to South Carolina from Indiana. In her free time, Melisa enjoys playing board games with her daughter, trying new foods, enjoying beach time and working out.
